Wisteria Lodge is situated within the grounds of Wigmore Court, dating back to 1660, nestled in the peaceful village of Eythorne, offering a tranquil countryside setting with easy access to some of Kent’s most popular destinations. Ideally positioned between the historic city of Canterbury (just a 15-minute drive away) and the charming seaside towns of Deal, Sandwich, and Dover, as well as centrally located for access to all coastlines including Whitstable, Herne Bay, Ramsgate, Margate, Folkestone & Hythe, it’s the perfect base for exploring the best of both coast and countryside.
Whether you’re planning day trips to France via the Port of Dover, a stroll along Deal Pier with an ice cream in hand, or exploring the medieval streets of Sandwich, Wisteria Lodge puts it all within easy reach. Nature lovers will enjoy the local walking routes and public footpaths, while those attending events will appreciate being close to The Cider Works wedding venue.
Within walking distance is The Crown, a friendly local pub, and Eythorne Heritage Railway Station—a volunteer-run railway that runs nostalgic steam train rides through the area’s former coal mining landscape on select Sundays.

At the heart of the home is a spacious, fully equipped open-plan kitchen with modern appliances and plenty of workspace. It’s perfect for cooking up delicious meals together, with a large dining table nearby where everyone can gather to enjoy homemade dinners and celebrate special moments.

The warm and cozy living room invites you to relax after a day of adventures. Sink into plush sofas surrounded by soft cushions, and enjoy family-friendly movies or games from the carefully curated collection — perfect for quality time with loved ones of all ages.

Kids & Teens Quarters 🎮
One of the true treasures of Wisteria Lodge lies downstairs: the children’s and teens’ quarters. This dedicated space feels like a secret den, complete with two sturdy bunk beds and a large TV—perfect for movie marathons or gaming sessions. A magical hideaway for younger guests to play, relax, and make memories.
The Terrace 🍷
Step out onto the spacious roof terrace, where you can soak up views of the lush garden below. It’s an ideal spot for sunny afternoons or starry evenings, especially in summer when fragrant wisteria vines bloom around the house, filling the air with a sweet, floral scent.
Courtyard & Outside Space 🌷
Wisteria Lodge benefits from a private courtyard garden with seating making it the dedicated BBQ space as well as the dedicated smoking area. Smoking is prohibited in all other areas. We are in the process of creating a private garden and patio that will be ready spring 2026, but in the mean time feel free to use the lounger chairs provided to soak up the sun on the roof terrace or on the grand lawn directly in front of the conservatory area. Please note that the neighbouring meadow and woodland area has a Bee Apiary 🐝 so is strictly prohibited to guests.

Guest accessWisteria Lodge is located within the grounds of Wigmore Court, where the homeowners also reside. The property has its own private entrance and dedicated parking space, offering guests complete privacy and independence throughout their stay. Please note that the lodge does not share access to the neighbouring gardens.
A small patio by the entrance features a seating area and a designated smoking spot. For safety reasons, smoking on the roof terrace is not permitted due to fire risk.
Guest access is provided via a secure lockbox. All check-in details will be sent to you at 8:00 AM on the morning of your arrival.

No outdoor shoes inside the property.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside or on the roof terrace. An ashtray is provided on the exterior patio area.
The top bunk beds are recommended for children aged 6 and over and are not suitable for adult use.
Children must not be left unattended on the roof terrace.
A maximum of 8 people are allowed on the roof terrace at any one time.
The property accommodates up to 8 guests plus 1 baby.
No parties or events are allowed.
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am.
Pets are not permitted.
